Fun because you get to meet new people and experience new things,
Stressful because you’ll have homework, assignments, and exams that may pile up due to having fun or procrastination,
And Creepy because you will have that one moment when you notice someone, that is old enough to be your parent, check you out.
If someone has an idea or a dream and wants to follow it, does it make them stupid? People make “dumb” or “stupid” decisions, in fact we are entitled to them, but that doesn’t make us stupid. To one person their decision might be stupid but to others, like me, their decision is daring and bold. I think that it takes more guts to follow that “stupid” idea than it does to ignore it. So why do people call others stupid? Is it because they don’t agree with their ideas? Or could it be that deep down that person knows that they could never be as daring?
Challenge #1: The next time someone approaches you with an idea LISTEN to them. Don’t judge or interrupt them. Listen to all that they have to say and try to understand where they are coming from. Instead of calling them stupid and knocking down their idea, help them or encourage them to develop it into something that can be great. I’m sure they would appreciate and love you even more if you give them a chance instead of calling them stupid.
